Edited by assistant editor Peter Milne (and others) to four chapters and released in the USA as Mistress of the World on 5 March 1922 by Hamilton Theatrical Corporation through Paramount Pictures Corporation. The original American edit of the serial was: chapter one The Dragon’s Claw (six reels); chapter two The Race for Life (six reels); chapter three The City of Gold (six reels); chapter four Saved by Wireless (five reels). Bad reviews forced the combination of chapters three and four into a single feature of seven reels entitled The City of Gold.
