The film was released in Finland on 17 September 1928. The film was released in France as La case de l’oncle Tom on 7 December 1928. The film was released in Germany as Onkel Toms Hütte by Universum-Film Aktiengesellschaft [UFA] in 1928. Betsy Ann Hisle won the role of Little Eva through a national contest with more than 500 contestants, but it would appear that she was replaced by Virginia Grey. The novel was previously filmed as Uncle Tom’s Cabin (1918). / Silent film.
