This DVD-R collection has likely been mastered from 16mm and/or 8mm reduction prints. The publisher does note that the prints utilized for the presentations of When Quackle Did Hyde and Dr. Pyckle and Mr. Pride are below their desired visual quality (which is saying a lot).
The silent films in the collection are accompanied by soundtracks compiled from preexisting music recordings.
Supplemental material includes short films, a cartoon and television episodes with appearances by Sheldon Lewis, Margaret Phillips, James Dean and Michael Rennie.
For our comparative reviews of some of the individual films in this collection, see our Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1912) on home video, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1920) on home video and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1920) on home video pages.
